“Edge Of The Forest” This is what I see when I go to Yellowstone in October every year during the elk rut. I like to camp so that I can hear the bulls bugle through the night. The show they put on is indescribable. I often forget to sketch or take photos that would detract from the moment. I keep telling myself that the next time I’ll take a big canvas and do a painting on the spot because when I see them I want to be in my studio painting them and when I’m in my studio painting them, I want to be watching them. So as soon as I make Yellowstone my studio, I will be in Art Heaven.
