“In Wildness” In my opinion, the wolves are the most awe-inspiring of them all. To me, they represent the epitome of spirituality. They are free and intelligent. They work together in a “family” structure. They are playful, curious and mysterious. I went to Yellowstone last February, my first time there in the winter. In the Lamar Valley, I was afforded the opportunity to observe many wolves, at kill sights, in play, howling and prowling. Some were so close I didn’t need my spotting scope. Time stands still when I see them. I plan to spend at least two months there this next winter. Just knowing I can go back to Yellowstone enables me to do stuff like this (writing about my paintings).
